2020 - 2023Blind Date
Blind Date, run by Monica Miller/facilitating situations, is a platonic match-making project that connects creatives to new peers. Creatives are prompted to fill out an intake form that sorts each participant by cultural identity, personality, and goals for their experience to another creative who compliments them within those three categories. Once a date match has been selected, they are provided a personal Google Meets room where they are introduced and invited to get to know one another. A sliding scale ($5-$25) fee for participation allows for individuals of all income levels to participate in this project.
Historically Blind Date has been run solely online and has been open to all creative types with no limitations on geographic location. Blind Date has successfully matched over 100 dates since January 2021, with many individuals seeking multiple date experiences.
