2026 | 18th Street Arts Center, Santa Monica, CABlind Date: Artist Seeks Artist
Aimed as an experience to platonically connect with new-to-you peers, artists are asked to complete a “Connection Survey” that helps me guide them into introductions that might inspire collaboration and/or friendship. They meet for the first time under a facilitated context that I have prepared—and host, much like a café.
Blind Date emerged in 2020 during the pandemic where virtual meetings were ramping up due to COVID. And it’s persisted as I wonder how many people in the same arts community—who attend the same openings and share the same interests—never seem to find a natural opportunity to connect. I am looking forward to continuing to grow this project and follow these fresh connections over time!
